Electric Vehicle Compensation in Lithuania: Only One Year Left to Use APVA Support
As fuel prices continue to rise and environmental regulations become stricter, more drivers are choosing solutions that help save money in the long term while contributing to a cleaner environment. Electric vehicle incentives play an important role in this transition.
The electric vehicle market in Lithuania is growing rapidly, and electric vehicle compensation remains one of the most attractive state support measures. APVA support allows residents to purchase both new and used electric vehicles at a lower cost.
The current funding call is valid until December 31, 2026. This means there is only one year left to take advantage of this opportunity.
Electric Vehicle Compensation for Private Individuals
Under the incentive program for private individuals, compensation is granted to those who acquire a fully electric vehicle. The program is administered by the Environmental Project Management Agency (APVA).
- The vehicle must be powered exclusively by electricity
- The first registration date or model year must meet program requirements
- The vehicle must be registered in the applicant’s name
- No previous compensation must have been granted for the same vehicle
Applications are submitted electronically through the APVIS system and are accepted while the call remains open or until available funds are exhausted.
Is Now the Right Time to Switch to an Electric Vehicle?
Switching to an electric vehicle is worth considering when your current car becomes costly to maintain or no longer meets your needs. Financial benefits, lower operating costs, and zero emissions make electric vehicles a smart choice.
Additional Benefits
- No registration tax
- Parking discounts
- Access to A+ traffic lanes
- Road tax benefits in Lithuania and across Europe
Legal Entities and the Public Sector
Legal entities can receive support for new or up to six-month-old electric vehicles. Since July 2025, public institutions may receive up to €7,500 for used electric vehicles, valid until March 30, 2026.
Summary
